Milestone: Calling papa & mama correctly ... 4 times


Haha actually Monster O has been babbling for quite a while already. His first words are jie jie & papa. Jie Jie - credit given to his all time play mate, Andrea 表姐。

我的表姐是老大！ Papa - because he likes it bah... Made me sore for a while because I was hoping he will say Mama first.. Anyway, after that he went on to learn his now favourite word 'ball'. He loves playing with a ball. He will roll, throw and chase after a ball for an extended period of time. It is a good distraction for him. Of course, along the way he learnt how to say Mama as well, but he sometimes get it mixed up. He will call me Papa & Jimmy, Mama. We correct him every time he makes a mistake and we will ignore him. But I think it will take a while before this really register. So today's milestone - he called us correctly 4 times each!

Getting better

Monster O seems to have some improvements. This morning when I carried him, cannot really hear the hard breathing (due to phlegm ) le.
So this Dr Koh is really a miracle doc huh! There's improvement after one dose of the medicine.. well we will still have to monitor for a few days to make sure that he really gets well...

Doctor again...

Monster O's phlegm is not dissolving, so 姑妈 recommended that we go to her doctor at Beauty World . According to her, this doctor is very experienced and good. His medicine always cure her children in a few days. 姑妈 is also kind enough to help us call & take a number first cos she say Dr Koh is very popular de. his clinic always long q.
So after dinner today we brought Monster O down to Beauty World to pay Dr Koh a visit. 姑妈 also remind Mama J to get Dr Koh to look at me too cos my cough has gone from bad to worse.when we reach there, I finally realise how 'popular' is Dr Koh. 姑妈 has called in the morning and she got a number 12. For those walk in patients, their number is already at 31! And it is only 8 plus, the clinic's night shift starts at 7pm. I was really lucky that 姑妈 called & took a number for us else I think we have to wait till 10 liao!!
Well, after a half hour wait, we finally got to see this famous Dr Koh. His room is a small area, part of it was taken up by a dental clinic. He did a quick check on Monster O & prescribe him with phlegm dissolving syrup & anti biotic. He also gave cream to be put into the nose. have to do the cream after Monster O is sleeping.
Then it's Mama J's turn. Dr Koh was tsking away, shaking his head while he listen to my breathing. He told me that I have to take medicine to stop the cough from going any worse. I am already at the bronchitic cough already. Well, what to do, he told me if I dun take of myself to get well, then it is harder for Monster O to get well. He got me convinced immediately..
Waited a while for the medicine. To my surprise, the consultation is $5 only! So today's damage is about $65 for both Monster O & myself. Usually when Monster O goes to Paediatrics Centre, his bill alone will be at least $50 de...Hmm location plays a part?
Anyway, I just hope that Monster O will get well soon...

Visit to Dr Ellen again...: (

Yup.. Have to visit PD today.. When I got home, was informed by gu ma that Ocean's eye is a bit red.. So since Dr Ellen has night clinic today, decided to bring him to let her take a look.. Also want to ask her about his cough that's coming on and off..
There's 2 other babies before us so have to wait a while..
First thing Dr Ellen commented was how come his hair look exactly like the last time she saw him?? ( Which was a couple of months ago). Haiz what to do.. Monster O's hair growth is really really slow...
After taking a look at his eyes, was informed that he has mild conjunctivitis. Doc says it's not serious, due to viral infection.. so some eye drops will clear up the eye.. She did warn me that they usually will spread from one eye to the other.. So we are to drop both eyes instead..
Also found out that Monster's throat is a bit red so in comes the cough syrup, the runny nose syrup and the most dreaded nose drop - Illadin..
Monster O hates to be dropped on.. I am wondering if I can survive this coming week of medication..
But hopefully it's get my monster up and going again soon... Break my heart to see him sick... : (

Dinner at BeiShanChuan

Went out for dinner with yeye & nainai. Papa brought us to this steamboat restaurant at Vivo. They serve 2 different kinds of soup base for the steamboat. But Monster O is more interested in the water display there.

He did it!!

Milestone: Standing without any support for....... 10 secs! :P

Ha ha, this might not be a very big achievement but to me, I was so happy to see him try...
Actually I think Monster O doesn't know that he is standing without any support.
He was actually leaning against a small table, playing with a ball
As the table is small, it is not really able to take his weight.. So as he was throwing the ball, then table actually slide away bit by bit...
I was sitting next to him, my hand on his waist and watching the table slide further away bit by bit.. and I also remove my hand bit by bit...
And finally, my monster stood on his own 2 tiny feet!!!!!!!!!!!
After a while he starts to wobble and I brought my hand and the table back again : P
This might be a small small achievement but I am still very very proud of my monster : D

Henderson Wave

In order to compensate Monster O for his 'blow', Jimmy decided to bring us all out to Henderson Wave. The original plan today was to go for a picnic trip at Hort Park with 小姨，姨丈& 舅舅 but 姨丈 was not feeling well so the trip was cancelled...
So off to the Henderson Wave we went! : D
